Entry Door Calculator
Give your door dealership an interactive quote calculator that works the way your consultants do. Homeowners pick the entry door style (six-panel, craftsman, modern flush, three-quarter lite, full lite or double doors), the material (insulated steel, smooth or woodgrain fiberglass, mahogany, knotty alder), a factory paint or stain, sidelites and a transom, the glass per lite, the handleset and smart lock, extras like a storm door or kick plate, the size from common sizes or a custom one, and the swing and hinge side. Can I change the door prices and surcharges to match my supplier?
Yes. Every price is a named constant at the top of the calculator: the door price per material, style surcharges in percent, sidelites, transoms, glass per lite, finishes, hardware, extras, patio doors by width and the installation rates. Change the numbers and the estimate follows.
How does the estimate handle sizes the homeowner has not measured?
The homeowner can pick 'Measure for me', choose a common size or type the width and height in inches. Without a size the estimate assumes a standard 36 x 80 inch door (72 inches for a pair), and an oversize door gets a surcharge. The size is confirmed at the in-home measure.
Why is the result shown as a range?
Door jobs are quoted after a measure, so the calculator shows the computed estimate with a range around it (12% by default). You can narrow or widen the range, and the PDF and the completion screen tell the customer that a firm quote follows the measure.
Does it work for patio doors too?
Yes. The homeowner chooses an entry door, a patio door or both. Patio doors are priced by type and width (sliding, French, multi-slide), with surcharges for fiberglass, aluminum or wood-clad frames, 8-foot height and impact-rated glass, plus blinds and grilles between the glass.
Can I collect the homeowner's details and send a PDF?
